History
Sarat was established in the early 1950s and started out as a Pirelli dealer in the rubber and vibration damper industry. In a few years it became one of Rhiag’s branches: the only big national distribution group operating in Italy at the time. From the 1990s onwards, Sarat signed several concession agreements with the most famous brands of automotive components. The company now represents over 40 brands, related mainly to the mechanical sector and is associated with various purchasing groups, with which it conducts projects in the aftermarket sector. In 2008, a new site in the industrial district of Genoa/ Bolzaneto was added to the historical headquarters in the centre of Genoa. Today Sarat can count on a 4,000 sqm warehouse and on an efficient multiple daily delivery service.

About Us
Sarat has been one of the leading wholesalers in the Liguria region in the field of spare parts, car accessories, truck spare parts, components for the industrial and marine sector since 1953. The company deals with components for industrial applications such as filtration, hydraulics and electrical devices. It also provides supports, gaskets and sensors. With more than 100,000 codes in stock, Sarat’s IT structure communicates with a network of Italian and European spare parts distribution platforms to give the opportunity to meet any kind of request. The company is ISO 9001-certified since 2003. It also has an in-house code of ethics based on the principles of the SA 8000 certification.

Sarat works with several partners on projects relating to the Aftermarket sector, involving the entire spare part distribution chain, through logistics and transport synergies, marketing and sales services, IT (e.g.: customised video catalogues) and digital communication media. These services are intended for the various figures of the distribution chain, starting from the distributor up to the individual workshop. By working with several Consortiums of Spare Part Dealers, Sarat is able to liaise with external e-commerce platforms that market its products and require IT and/or digital implementations and integrations.
